Watermelon Gin

Watermelon cocktails?! You don’t have to tell me twice. And I guess these count as one of your 5 a day, right?! By absolutely no means, this ‘recipe’ (I say that lightly) is not rocket science… but we’re coming into winter and I’ll take any chance to feel summery again.

What you’ll need:

  • A watermelon (1/3 of  this small watermelon made 3 drinks)
  • gin!!! (important)
  • a blender

Step 1: Cut your watermelon. I then just dig in with a spoon to carve out chunks and pop them straight into the blender.

Watermelon works perfectly above any other fruit as it is so juicy, as it blends it turns into liquid. Top Tip! Blend some ice in with it for a watermelon gin slushie.

Step 2: Add the alcohol. I’m not even going to guide you on how much gin to use……. as you can see, I gave up with the measures. Ha!

Step 3: Pour into your glassware and TAAADAAAA. If I was feeling super extra I’d have decorated the glasses with a sugar rim and topped with some edible flowers or fruit.

These are SOOO simple to make, and even decorate, but look like you’ve made tons of effort. Winner, winner!
